Trophy Lifted By Whitton United

On Sunday 1st May, Whitton United Under 16s took on East Bergholt in the K.O.Cup Final at Gainsborough Sports Centre. Right from the kick off Whitton looked the stronger of the two teams and this was proved right as the game progressed. Whitton, playing with their customary flair came through as victors with a 6-1 scoreline. Goal scorers were Clarke 2, Jones 2, Lapworth and Szyszlyk. That's their first final over and done with, next week they face Trimley in the Open Cup final again at Gainsborough, kick off 3pm. Robin, can you make us another trophy cabinet please.
